Hello again, Well, just when we think we've got something figured out, things change..
sn't that how just about everything is right now?

After some reconsideration, Asbury will be having only 1 service this coming Sunday which will be at 11:00am.

Sorry for any confusion this might cause.

To sign up for in-person worship please click this link:

You may still call in to the church to have Stacey reserve a spot for you. If you do call, please call by Thursday at 2:00pm.

You may sign up online anytime before end of day Saturday.

Have a great holiday weekend and I hope to see you Sunday!

Grace & Peace,

Pastor Tori

Hello Church Family, Boy, oh boy, was it so grand to start gathering for worship this past Sunday! I hope you can join us this Sunday! As we continue to experiment with best practices for worship in this season, we are moving to an online sign-up process.

To sign up for in-person worship please click this link:

If you have already called the church office this week to reserve a spot, you are already on the list.

If you still prefer to call the church office to reserve your spot, you may do so by 2:00pm Thursday, but you are no longer restricted to calling by then. If you decide later in the week that you'd like to attend in-person worship on Sunday, please decide by end of the day Saturday.

Many folks are wondering what changes there might be regarding worship as Erie County moves from the "yellow phase" to the "green phase." Our denominational leadership is still advising churches to have people remain 6 feet apart, wear face masks, and not sing. As time goes on we will have a better idea of when these things might change for our particular congregation. But for right now, we will stay the course and follow those suggestions. As things change, you will be notified.

We are keeping the maximum per service at 30 people still (not including greeters, worship leader, pastor, and organist) because our sanctuary seating area is relatively confined. However, as we continue to get a feel for how many bodies can fit in the area while still social distancing, that amount might change.

I hope you are enjoying the beautiful weather we're having!

Hope to see you Sunday!

Grace and Peace to you,

Pastor Tori

Hello Church Family, As we move forward with our plans to reopen the church building for worship in person, I wanted to inform you that the virtual service will be a bit different for now. We will be recording the 11:00am in person worship service to post to YouTube, therefore the virtual service will not be available to view until later (mid-day) on Sunday. When the virtual service is available for viewing online I'll send out the link via email.

Click here for the bulletin for worship. If you have reserved a spot to attend worship in person this Sunday, please remember we won't be handing out bulletins. Please print your bulletin at home to bring with you or follow along with the bulletin on your phone.

This also would be a great time to get in the habit of bringing your own Bible to church, too! I'm excited to begin worshiping in person with some of you! No matter if you worship in the sanctuary or in your home, I pray you have an encounter with the Living God and that you are blessed.

Grace and Peace,

Pastor Tori

Hi friends, Click this link for the reading of Exodus 35:

We're almost done reading through Exodus! Only 5 more chapters after today! I'm glad we've been able to lean into God's Word together during this time and solidify the habit of being in scripture every day. As we ramp up to begin meeting in person again I won't be sending out daily emails after Saturday.

Have a wonderful week!

Many Blessings,

Pastor Tori

Happy Sunday! This Sunday's message will be a bit different. Since I'm finishing up my vacation today, I don't have a normal virtual service to offer. However, last year on May 1, 2019 I preached a message at my alma mater, Asbury Theological Seminary. Luckily they recorded that message and I'm able to share it with you all today! I pray that through the power of the Holy Spirit, what was once meant for one group of folks may resonate with you also.

Click this link for the message:

Here's the link to John 15 (the chapter of scripture I reference in the message):

If you're looking for a full service to watch, there are many options from churches on the Western PA UMC webpage. Many of them are facebook andor live-streamed so you may have to catch them at a certain time or search a bit to find where the recording is kept:

And of course, click this link for the reading of Exodus 34:

I hope you have a wonderful Sunday! Looking forward to beginning to see some of you a bit more soon!

Many Blessings,

Pastor Tori

Meet Our Pastor

pastortori

Pastor Tori Heath was born and raised in the Mon-Valley area in Washington County, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Charleroi Area High School and attended Edinboro University. After gaining an English Literature degree from Edinboro in 2014, she attended Asbury Theological Seminary and received a Master of Divinity in 2018. Tori met her husband Dustin during their time at Asbury Seminary where Dustin also received a Master of Divinity and is pursuing a career in chaplaincy and ministering to people who struggle with addiction recovery.

Pastor Tori was commissioned as a Provisional Elder in 2018 in the Western Pennsylvania Annual Conference. While Asbury UMC in Waterford is her first church appointment as pastor, Tori has been steeped in the United Methodist Church her whole life. She was baptized as an infant at Trinity UMC in Erie and continued to grow in her faith while being very involved in church life throughout her youth and young adulthood at Grace UMC in Coal Center, Pa. During Tori's time in college, she attended Asbury UMC in Erie. The Erie area holds a special place in her heart.

Pastor Tori is incredibly excited to begin full-time local church ministry as she walks into the calling shes felt since youth. Tori's call to ministry began when she was 13 years old and she began to pursue that call when she went to college. She is so grateful for the cloud of witnesses in the church who have walked with her and encouraged her as she has journeyed through the call to full-time ministry.

Pastor Tori's vision for ministry centers around building teams that work together to bring about spiritual renewal in the local church to impact the surrounding community. She deeply loves seeing lives transformed through the love of Jesus Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit, to the glory of God the Father. Tori and Dustin married in January, 2018. Together they like coffee dates, camping, hunting for beach glass, and making each other laugh a lot.
